British Columbia Chapter

Geographic Region:  The BC Chapter's geographic region includes the entire province of British Columbia, Canada. The BC Chapter was adopted by the IAP2 Board of Directors in March 1995.  The Chapter currently has 70 active members.

Thursday October 21, 2010 - Facilitating Collaborative Decision-Making (Vancouver, BC): This one day course on facilitating small groups will enable policy, prorgramme and project managers, community leaders, elected officials and consultants to fully engage small groups in order to facilitate collaborative decision-making. This course is ideal for people who lead teams or projects where diverse groups need to think, plan and act together. Click here to view the course description.

Thursday and Friday, November 18-19, 2010 - IAP2's Emotion, Outrage and Public Participation (Vancouver, BC): This course brings together the collective knowledge and experience of outrage management based on the work of Dr. Peter Sandman. November 22-26, 2010 - IAP2 Certificate Training (Victoria, BC): Planning for effective public participatiion (Nov 22-23), Communication for effective public participation (Nov 24), and Techniques for effective public participation (Nov 25-26) will be offered this fall in Victoria, BC. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 - Social Gathering (Victoria, BC): Join members of the IAP2 community and public participation professionals in Victoria for a social event at the Canoe Brew Pub in dowtown Victoria (450 Swift Street) from 5:00-8:00pm. Enjoy food, drink and good conversation.
