Welcome to IAP2

IAP2 is an association of members who seek to promote and improve the practice of public participation in relation to individuals, governments, institutions, and other entities that affect the public interest in nations throughout the world. IAP2 carries out its mission by organizing and conducting activities to:

• Serve the learning needs of members through events, publications, and communication technology;
• Advocate for public participation throughout the world;
• Promote a results-oriented research agenda and use research to support educational and advocacy goals;
• Provide technical assistance to improve public participation.

Many of you are aware that IAP2 recently conducted an international search for a new Executive Director.  That search has successfully come to an end, and it is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Moira Deslandes as the new Executive Director of IAP2.

Additional News Regarding IAP2 Operations

For the past five years, Dina Alengi Storz has supported IAP2 as a member of the association management company contracted to provide services to IAP2 and its members.  We are delighted that Dina has agreed to make the transition with IAP2 to our new model of operations and will continue to serve as the Administrative Director of IAP2.  Dina's extensive knowledge and experience of IAP2 operations and her skills in administration, relationship management, and customer service will help shape the next stage of our development as an influential global organisation.  

I would appreciate your patience as we work through this transition phase with Dina and Moira and re-configure our operations.  We will endeavor to meet all member requests in a timely manner; however, for a short period of time, there may be some delays.
